What's New

Between the move and organizing a new tenant, a few things have been put on the back-burner or the last month. Things are finally picking up again, although we are still living out of boxes.

First thing being the registration of our new business, Mad Love Studio. Look out for a lot of cool projects coming out the new space as things ramp up over the course of the year. Between Nicole and I, we'll be offering a broad spectrum of design services including, graphic, web and industrial design. My computer nerd and web marketing skills will be worked in there as well. So, if that sounds like something you or someone you know might be needing, please get in touch! Look out for a website and blog in the very near future.

Track racing has been on the burner and has been badly neglected. I fear what kind of pain awaits me after a couple months of the bike and little more than 10k a day with my wimpy commute. A couple solid weeks at the track combined with some road riding should let me hang in the middle of the pack ;)

I'm also doing some official type guitar lessons for the next two months as well. Music people, I'm looking your way! I'm not very good but I'm always down to jam. I put down the guitar for maybe half a year and it's coming back now but I'm making a point of getting good this year... along with a million other things!

Yep, new hair for our adventures in a new space and P.S. I just started in a new job that I love too!

died young stayed pretty is a really sweet movie about the "poster scene" and graphic design and internet geeks. i bet you will like it. i saw it with gusto and some other dudes from the island. yes, i recommend it.
so did this magazine i was reading while waiting for brunch at slickity's with lenny, i think it was yesterday.

bike routing

So I can go real fast at the track, but I kinda run out of gas after a few sprints.
Sprinting = decent but my endurance = poo
I've recently acquired an old road race bike so I'm ramping up the kilometers this coming year starting with 200-300K a week with the goal of being in the 300-600K range by September. I figure the spring series will be a good way to get my race experience up at the velo and by next season I should have a good base to be competitive. A lot of work, but I consider it a constructive use of my spare time!

If you spot anyone with a Nikon Coolpix 5100 check the shoulder strap... if it reads "Niko" kick them in the junk and steal it back for me!
