bike routing

So I can go real fast at the track, but I kinda run out of gas after a few sprints.
Sprinting = decent but my endurance = poo
I've recently acquired an old road race bike so I'm ramping up the kilometers this coming year starting with 200-300K a week with the goal of being in the 300-600K range by September. I figure the spring series will be a good way to get my race experience up at the velo and by next season I should have a good base to be competitive. A lot of work, but I consider it a constructive use of my spare time!

Here's a few routes I'm going to be doing over the coming weeks.

Fast UBC Loop

SFU Loop

(I'd like to combine these on the weekends)

Richmond Loop

Horseshoe Bay Loop

and of course 200 meter left turns on repeat!

Going to be one tired mofo for the first few weeks but if it goes anything like my first few weeks on commuting, I should be in good shape.

NIKO PHONE HOME

Someone stole my camera from Shine at the Sammy Bananas show.

This makes me and ohmyblawg very sad indeed.

If you spot anyone with a Nikon Coolpix 5100 check the shoulder strap... if it reads "Niko" kick them in the junk and steal it back for me!

Office Haikus

Here is a collection of haiku's I have sent (to all the heads in my company) with my DSR (daily sales report). There was a short hiatus where I featured a photo-of-the-day, but the haikus were brought back by popular demand.
My raise is in the bag!

Riding high all day
Full length keeps me warm, but still
Damn you, itchy skirt.

New coffee machine
Eagerly awaiting you
Add fuel to our fires

Sun sets below clouds
Shining through the pouring rain
Rainbows on Railway!

Fan outside window
Only stops at end of day
To screech a farewell

A happy Friday
Going to the velodrome
Hope you enjoy yours!

New Bike

Another new bike :)
Was considering a factory repaint but it turns out they can't do the original lettering. So, orangey/red it is! The decals are a bit chewed up but otherwise it's in great shape

Racing!

Finally get to race my bike on Friday. I've been working hard at the track for the past month and it looks like I'm more of a sprinter, only because my endurance is such crap. Tried my first 2k Time Trial and it hurt bad, not sure if it was a conditioning thing or if it was due to running my sprint gear. Either way, something to improve on, and considering 90% of the races are endurance, I'm probably going to get my ass beat down for the first few weeks.

Some world class guys out there so it's definitely worth checking out if you've never been.

Just a party thing

I miss drinking free beer so I'm getting back into the DJ thing. I'm starting from scratch here so I'm putting the word out, starting with my highly frequented blog!

I don't see myself jumping in at the level of some of my DJ peers but I would like to work my way back into some kind of regular rotation locally.

Last minute but, going to be playing some tunes at Ryan's shindig on Saturday, and I do mean 'play tunes' as I'm not really booked to play a set, just to get things moving at the BBQ beforehand. Info: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=21435588801

Shall be rad!
